Originally begun in 1938, prior to World War II, the Mackenzie Highway was abandoned at the outbreak of war, then resumed in the late 1940s and completed to Hay River, Northwest Territories in 1949. This is a standard issue provincial spec signs, pre-drilled and screen printed on refelctive engineer grade 2 mm aluminum panels. Perfect for mantles, ledges and framing, a great way to have these icons of Alberta in your home without the guilt of an ill-advised late night *cough* acquisition. This sign measures 45 cm x 60 cm.
