Elk Island National Park, located 35km east of Edmonton, and popular with folks here in #yeg, has played an important part in the conservation of the American bison. The park plays host to the largest and the smallest terrestrial mammals in North America, the wood bison and pygmy shrew. A part of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve, Elk Island National Park is a popular spot to stargaze and admire the wonders of the northern lights. This illustration captures the beauty of nighttime in the park. This print is part of our poster series created in the art deco style of the early 20th century, the golden era of train travel.

Digitally printed in an open edition by Vivid Print in Strathcona on archival white 192 gsm Epson Enhanced Matte paper using pigment based inks. Signed by the artist.
