Bee Waeland Wins Alcuin Book Award

The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada is the only national competition for book design in the country.

This year’s judges, Crispin Elsted, Natalie Olsen, and Jessica Sullivan, selected 35 winning titles from 187 submissions, from 8 provinces, 1 territory and 74 publishers.

Bee's 2022 book, The Three Bears and Goldilocks and published by Victoria's Orca Books, has won first place in the Children's book design category.

Congrats Bee. Her next book, Gretel and Hansel, is due out later this spring.
